After a defensive mix-up in godines bc's zone, Gilvan Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Valadares came out of the goal and Gilvan Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugênio Sanches took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Valadares. Nuno Valadares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Monteiro got free with Luís Paulo Cordeiro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanni Tavares during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, godines bc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Luís Paulo Cordeiro made a huge save. Luís Paulo Cordeiro made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Marcel Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Família Silva FC's Eugênio Sanches got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes, godines bc's Fernandão Sena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Paulo Cordeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in godines bc reached it. If Marcel Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Marcel Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. godines bc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Família Silva FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Arósio made a kick off. Luís Paulo Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Luís Paulo Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Vivaldo Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilvan Madureira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 95th playminute. The Família Silva FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Família Silva FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
