Spectators: 7213 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Wágner Sabóia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Remansu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Pires came free, but Edmundo Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Remansu FC's zone, Júlio Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Saraiva came out of the goal and Júlio Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute Júlio Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Paes made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Dorival Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. When Dorival Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Remansu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Dorival Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Paes having to interfere. Diguinho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paulo Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Augusto Paes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Germano Arruda. Augusto Paes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Netto's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 47 minutes, Mané Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Remansu FC and the Urubuzada players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Urubuzada booed when Remansu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diguinho Netto made a kick off. Augusto Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Arruda hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Dorival Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Urubuzada's Augusto Paes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Perivaldo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Edmundo Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Wágner Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Remansu FC's Diguinho Netto in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Urubuzada's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Netto in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Paes saved Urubuzada from getting behind. Pedro Paulo Lucas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Urubuzada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Remansu FC:s goal. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Remansu FC. Germano Arruda stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Augusto Paes. 1-0. Zé Paulo Queirós was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, one of Urubuzada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Urubuzada. Germano Arruda placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Romário Favoretto hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Urubuzada's Valdomiro Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Urubuzada booed when Remansu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball.
