Luiz Fábio Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, José Carlos Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbatman's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orlando Barral made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fenerbatman's Adilson Pena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Pires in the 33rd minute of play forced Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th match minute, Fenerbatman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Pena to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Fenerbatman defense, Zeca Paes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Vaz. The Fenerbatman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Vaz should have stopped the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Carlos Alcântara made a kick off. The Ingaseiro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
