Adilson da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Pensamento's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Barbosa came free, but Adilson da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Pensamento's goalkeeper Adilson da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Gustavo Freire. Adilson da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Geovani Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Gustavo Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adilson da Cunha having to make a save. Luís Gustavo Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Adilson da Cunha made a huge save. Marco Vander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cássio Valladares's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Cássio Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marco Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Valladares struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marco Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Osvaldinho Cearense hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Cássio Valladares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marco Vander made a huge save. E.C. Anapolense's Geovani Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cássio Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute Vladimir Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Válter Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pensamento's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Vander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adilson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Barbosa in the 93rd minute of the match. The Pensamento supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pensamento would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
