In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirapitinguy's goalkeeper Régis do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Pirapitinguy's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano da Silveira came free, but Régis do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Ferraz took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Víktor Ortiz. Víktor Ortiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 29 minutes, Natã Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirapitinguy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natã Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Régis do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Pirapitinguy getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Simão Baiano hit a great ball. Chico Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Régis do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Fabiano da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cleiton Antunes made the kick off in the second half. Víktor Ortiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cleiton Antunes's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Pirapitinguy's Régis do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano da Silveira in the 59th minute of play. If Chico Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pirapitinguy's Régis do Vale got control of the ball when Amílton Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Cleiton Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Icatu SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Pirapitinguy. Fabiano da Silveira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Icatu SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pirapitinguy's zone, Chico Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis do Vale came out of the goal and Chico Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Glauco Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Icatu SC's Edgard Meira got a free kick in the 85th minute. Pirapitinguy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 94th minute, Cleiton Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Víktor Ortiz. Icatu SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Cleiton Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute.
