Spectators: 5004 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 4) Hermínio Teixeira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Tupi's Jaime Mangueira in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ypatinga FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Sena in the 7th minute of play forced Ypatinga FC's goalkeeper Edgard do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jaime Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Ypatinga FC got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Guimarães. Jaime Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisão Travassos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Michel Fontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Luisão Travassos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute, Hermínio Teixeira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Hermínio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durvalino Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luisão Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio Teixeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michel Fontes having to make a save. Tupi's Michel Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Teixeira in the 36th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durvalino Sena was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Edgard do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, Ypatinga FC's Hermínio Teixeira made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 minutes of play, Ypatinga FC's Luisão Travassos made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee ignored Ypatinga FC's protests and gave Luisão Travassos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, Ypatinga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Travassos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Tupi booed when Ypatinga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute of the match, Jaime Mangueira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgard do Vale was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Michel Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Teixeira in the 78th minute of the match. Durvalino Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Arruda hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Tupi's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Teixeira came free, but Michel Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90thth minute of the game Hermínio Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tupi's Michel Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ypatinga FC's Luisão Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
