Igor Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Edvaldo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sparta Rotterdam's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Dalmo Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real C.A.Pirassununguense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dalmo Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Elder Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rafael Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparta Rotterdam's protests and gave Rafael Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Sparta Rotterdam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Furlan to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Gonçalves having to interfere. Real C.A.Pirassununguense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparta Rotterdam the free kick. After 60 played minutes Real C.A.Pirassununguense got a freekick which was hit by Durval Hermes. Manfredo Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Almeida having to interfere. When Leopoldo Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Sparta Rotterdam's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
