Rickers's Fiori Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Rickers from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Rickers booed when MANAGER MANIPULA RESULTAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilson Furtado struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Pedrão Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rickers. Fiori Brasil made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Josué Netto sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Flavinho Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilson Furtado in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavinho Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Meirelles having to interfere. When Edgar Vergílio fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MANAGER MANIPULA RESULTAD's protests and gave Edgar Vergílio a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Flavinho Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The corner led MANAGER MANIPULA RESULTAD's Cléberson Martins to fire away a dangerous shot which Fiori Brasil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Dalmo Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute of the match Ernesto Queiroz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fiori Brasil skillfully saved the ball. Fiori Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Netto in the 87th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Rickers's Pedrão Meirelles threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilson Furtado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 91 minutes into the game, MANAGER MANIPULA RESULTAD's Josué Netto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fiori Brasil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rickers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
