Dráuzio Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kryspin Osowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Dieguinho Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Cícero Lucas made a huge save. If Jairo de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dieguinho Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráuzio Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cícero Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Dráuzio Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Kryspin Osowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Madrid FC's Walmir Fernandes suffered a sore thigh after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Cafu de Amaral's late challenge caught a Santos Madrid FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
