If Pedrinho Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Cabral in the 8th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Democracia Socialista got a freekick which was hit by 郝沙响. 13 minutes into the match, Canjica FC's Adilson Tasso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 15th minute Pedrinho Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Canjica FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Augusto Barral hit a great ball. Décio Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Democracia Socialista got a corner. Canjica FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Túlio Cabral ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Canjica FC's goalie and right to Tarcisio Sarmento. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Canjica FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Décio Recife was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and 郝沙响 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 郝沙响 really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Pedrinho Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Décio Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Túlio Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Canjica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Gomes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Veiga in the 41st minute of play forced Canjica FC's goalkeeper Décio Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Túlio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Gomes made a kick off. 郝沙响 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Pedrinho Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Democracia Socialista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canjica FC's Décio Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Cabral in the 60th minute of play. Pedrinho Veiga hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Pedrinho Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedrinho Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Túlio Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Décio Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Eliseu da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrinho Veiga in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Recife saved Canjica FC from getting behind. 81 minutes into the game, Democracia Socialista's Pedrinho Veiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Décio Recife made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Pedrinho Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Décio Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Veiga in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Democracia Socialista players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
