If Luiz Fábio Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Arósio made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Dráuzio de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Vitinho Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sephiroth FC's Vinícius Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Zanette in the 32nd minute of play. Dráuzio de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulão Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Dráuzio de Queiroz could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Paulão Arósio however easily saved by the left post. After 40 played minutes Sephiroth FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Leal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Vitinho Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araborladit SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Araborladit SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
