Spectators: 6968 (Terracing: 5418, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) Pedro Luiz Cardozo made the kick off and thus started the match. Trinity's Flávio Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Pires in the 3rd minute of play. Pedro Luiz Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Trinity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Esteves to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Santos in the 16th minute of play forced Caboto's goalkeeper Afonsinho Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caboto's zone, Denílson Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Loureiro came out of the goal and Denílson Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dudu Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caboto's protests and gave Dudu Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Caboto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trinity:s goal. In the 21st minute, the referee gave Trinity a penalty. Victor Cosme looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Afonsinho Loureiro. The supporters of Caboto booed when Trinity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alessandro Ortiz got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Trinity. 30 minutes into the match, Trinity's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Pires came free, but Flávio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Denílson Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Pedro Luiz Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caboto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flávio Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Cardozo in the 41st minute of the match. Rubinho Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Caboto's Pedro Luiz Cardozo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Fantini narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denílson Santos was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Denílson Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trinity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 minutes, Baltazar Quadros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caboto and the Trinity players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Cosme took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Afonsinho Loureiro. Caboto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Denílson Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Loureiro having to interfere. Afonsinho Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Ortiz in the 76th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Alessandro Ortiz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Caboto's Afonsinho Loureiro. Afonsinho Loureiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Afonsinho Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Santos in the 95th minute of play. Caboto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
