Luiz Macedo started the match with the kick off. Olavo Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Nico Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olavo Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Romário Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nico Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Flexx CS Team's zone, Olavo Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romário Magalhães came out of the goal and Olavo Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Júlio Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flexx CS Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canoas Futebol Clube the free kick. After 16 played minutes Flexx CS Team got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Brodel. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flexx CS Team's goalkeeper Romário Magalhães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Canoas Futebol Clube's Luiz da Mata got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Canoas Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Macedo came free, but Geovânio Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilmar do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Magalhães having to interfere. Júlio Brodel hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Canoas Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frédson Andrade in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Canoas Futebol Clube's corner Frédson Andrade fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Romário Magalhães quite easily take care of the ball. Nico Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Magalhães having to interfere. Mateus Nunes was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mateus Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The corner ended in Eriberto Zanette almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flexx CS Team's Romário Magalhães did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olavo Zanette made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Flexx CS Team's goalkeeper Romário Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Xavier. The supporters of Canoas Futebol Clube booed when Flexx CS Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romário Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Zanette in the 61st minute of the match. Canoas Futebol Clube's Régis Gomes suffered a concussion after 63 minutes and had to leave the field. After 63 minutes, Simão de Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flexx CS Team and the Canoas Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simão de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Nico Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Romário Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nico Xavier got free with Romário Magalhães in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Flexx CS Team's goalkeeper Romário Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Xavier. When Eriberto Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canoas Futebol Clube's protests and gave Eriberto Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Canoas Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Zanette. After a defensive mix-up in Flexx CS Team's zone, Nico Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romário Magalhães came out of the goal and Nico Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Romário Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Romário Magalhães managed to avoid a goal in the 99thth minute, when Canoas Futebol Clube's Erik Vides fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Canoas Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flexx CS Team.
