Spectators: 6519 (Terracing: 5519, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gualter do Valle got the match started through his kick off. Dorian Xavier might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorian Xavier ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C Santo André's goalkeeper João Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, Heliópolis FC's Gualter do Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Paiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 20 minutes, Michel Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heliópolis FC and the E.C Santo André players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Heliópolis FC's Gualter do Valle got a free kick in the 26th minute. Carlos Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni de Amorim in the 30th minute of play. Carlos Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Aparecido in the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute Eriberto Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter do Valle struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. João Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heliópolis FC. Carlos Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovanni de Amorim made a kick off. Luís Paulo Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Carlos Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni de Amorim in the 58th minute of play. If Gualter do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A nice corner shot did that Gerson Pinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Paiva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 71st match minute, E.C Santo André was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes E.C Santo André got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Maciel. João Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Xavier in the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Michel Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heliópolis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorian Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorian Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Heliópolis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni de Amorim came free, but Carlos Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Xavier in the 88th minute of play forced E.C Santo André's goalkeeper João Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorian Xavier scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorian Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. João Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Heliópolis FC had won after a very even match.
