Paulino Richie started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Fluminense FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Dorian Moraes hit a great ball. Jerônimo Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Gogo Elodio charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gogo Elodio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jerônimo Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The supporters of Fluminense FC booed when Espera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantinos Kutras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizinho Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Manoel Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Espera got a freekick which was hit by 杨骏银. When 杨骏银 came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Espera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 杨骏银 couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ennio Reali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espera's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Reali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerônimo Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Demesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 杨骏银 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Sampaio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Richie in the 38th minute of play forced Espera's goalkeeper Jerônimo Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Geovanni Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerônimo Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Richie in the 43rd minute of play. 杨骏银 hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulino Richie in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerônimo Machado saved Espera from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luizinho Albuquerque to strike the kick off in the second half. Espera's Jerônimo Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Demesio in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Maximiliano Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Paulino Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 79 played minutes Espera got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Reali. Jerônimo Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Richie in the 82nd minute. In the 91st minute Maximiliano Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 杨骏银 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Sampaio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fluminense FC's Dorian Moraes got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fluminense FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
