Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frédson Koehler made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Mozondo booed when Braz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Maurício Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braz's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Maurício Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto da Mata. Mozondo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Frédson Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gilberto da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Vítor Donatello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Germano Brasil. Vítor Donatello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Gilberto da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Gomes's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Maurício Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurício Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto da Mata having to interfere. Germano Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Vieira in the 36th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Braz fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Sandro Queiroz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Gilberto da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Luiz Vieira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mozondo's Vítor Donatello in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Braz's goalie prevented a goal. Germano Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Donatello's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute André Luiz Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vítor Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilberto da Mata went to the wrong direction when Gláuber da Cunha was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Mozondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Diniz to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Maurício Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Frédson Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Braz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédson Koehler couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Sandro Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gláuber da Cunha in the 81st minute. At last the ball reached Edmundo Galvão at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Mozondo. 1-2. Gilberto da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Koehler in the 85th minute of the match. Germano Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Donatello in the 86th minute of play. Mozondo's Gilberto da Mata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Mozondo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Koehler in the 88th minute of play forced Mozondo's goalkeeper Gilberto da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Gomes struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Gilberto da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Braz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Koehler in the 97th minute of play forced Mozondo's goalkeeper Gilberto da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mozondo's goalkeeper Gilberto da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Braz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mozondo throughout the match.
