In the 5th match minute, Pegasus fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Nico Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Bittencourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nico Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that José Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulysses Lopes was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 30th minute José Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Luiz Fábio do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Hugo Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pegasus fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Hugo Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ulysses Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Pegasus fc got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Vaz. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Serafim dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pegasus fc's Dadá Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Pegasus fc booed when Alharponi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Hugo Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dadá Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswaldo Quirino's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Dadá Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pegasus fc's goalkeeper Dadá Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tião Leão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Oswaldo Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá Carvalho having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Pegasus fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Linares to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Alharponi's goal looked a bit too open when José Mendes came free, but Ulysses Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses Lopes came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Pegasus fc's José Mendes. But to his dismay, José Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 89 played minutes Alharponi got a freekick which was hit by Nico Bittencourt. Hugo Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pegasus fc's José Mendes in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alharponi's goalie prevented a goal. Kléberson de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alharponi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Haroldo Sabóia was slow to take the kick. During this time Pegasus fc's players had a chance to rest. Francisco Linares made a great header on Pegasus fc's corner, it was just that Alharponi's Ulysses Lopes managed to reach the ball for a save. Pegasus fc's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
