After 39 played minutes Pojuquinha got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Novaes. Natalio Sanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Albertinho Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Atlético Bavarariano were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natalio Sanson made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Atlético Bavarariano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Proença to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Pojuquinha's goalkeeper Albertinho Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Sanson. 69 minutes into the game, Pojuquinha's Gonçalo Duarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani Severo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Natalio Sanson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Albertinho Velloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pojuquinha's zone, Erasmo Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Velloso came out of the goal and Erasmo Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albertinho Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Sanson in the 80th minute. Natalio Sanson kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Natalio Sanson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albertinho Velloso. Pojuquinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natalio Sanson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Pojuquinha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Natalio Sanson scored to the left of an out of position Albertinho Velloso, making the score, 1-3. Atlético Bavarariano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
