Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5451, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diamantino Paiva started the match with the kick off. Alharponi's Ulysses Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Arruda in the 3rd minute of play. Serafim dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Elivélton Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Fábio da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elivélton Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafim dos Santos went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Diamantino Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Jararaita AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Paiva couldn't finish the play. Jararaita AD's Elivélton Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Quirino in the 22nd minute of play. Ulysses Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Adalberto Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Alharponi defense, Diamantino Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulysses Lopes. The Alharponi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulysses Lopes should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio da Fonseca during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fábio da Fonseca hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswaldo Quirino made a kick off. With a little luck, Alharponi's Ulysses Lopes got control of the ball when Matheus Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafim dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Elivélton Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elivélton Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Alharponi's zone, Adalberto Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Lopes came out of the goal and Adalberto Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adalberto Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson de Castro in the 81st minute of play forced Jararaita AD's goalkeeper Elivélton Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Oswaldo Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alharponi's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adalberto Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Alharponi's zone, Matheus Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Lopes came out of the goal and Matheus Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alharponi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
