Santos FC's Álvaro Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Proença in the 29th minute of play. Geovani Severo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Augusto Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. After 40 minutes, Augusto Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. Álvaro Borges came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Bavarariano's Durval Proença. But to his dismay, Durval Proença quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natalio Sanson was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Bavarariano's Natalio Sanson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Álvaro Borges. That made the score 0-4 after 54 minutes of play. Augusto Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Natalio Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Cipriano Mazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani Severo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 67th minute Cristiano Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natalio Sanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Borges having to interfere. When Cipriano Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Cipriano Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 76 minutes, Atlético Bavarariano's Celsinho Vergílio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Álvaro Borges. Durval Proença succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-6 in the 79th playminute. Santos FC's attentive Cipriano Mazza managed to snatch the ball when Celsinho Vergílio made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Durval Proença took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Álvaro Borges to make any attempt to save it. Natalio Sanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Borges having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Durval Proença reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Álvaro Borges. The goal made the score 1-8. Atlético Bavarariano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
