After a rather tough play, Texugo Futebol Clube's Ulysses Furtado got a free kick in the 4th minute. The EE LEMENSE fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when EE LEMENSE's Vito Freire looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Freire in the 13th minute of play forced Texugo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Kiko Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Ulysses França collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Acácio Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Vito Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EE LEMENSE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Juvenal Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Texugo Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juvenal Peixoto couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Texugo Futebol Clube defense, Vito Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kiko Arce. The Texugo Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kiko Arce should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Toninho Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Gustavo Monteiro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Felipe Xavier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kiko Arce. Texugo Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Xavier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Kiko Arce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Xavier's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Felipe Xavier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EE LEMENSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half EE LEMENSE were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Xavier was the one to do the kick off. Kauã Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Arce having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Xavier in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56thth minute of the game Felipe Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Texugo Futebol Clube's Kiko Arce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doni Quadros hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Vito Freire got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã Fontes got free with Kiko Arce in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vito Freire struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Kiko Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EE LEMENSE. Américo Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Tostão Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 minutes of play Texugo Futebol Clube's Acácio Loyola was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of EE LEMENSE booed when Texugo Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Xavier in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
