Valério Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Cacá de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Alfredão Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Betão Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Esporte Clube de Carmo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Pimenta couldn't finish the play. Kiko Arce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jailson Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Esporte Clube de Carmo's Jailson Sergipano in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 25 played minutes Texugo Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Zonta. Kiko Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Sergipano in the 28th minute of play. Erasmo Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredão Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jailson Sergipano sped through Texugo Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kiko Arce. After having played for 41 minutes, Jailson Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esporte Clube de Carmo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jailson Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jailson Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiko Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jailson Sergipano in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kiko Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Betão Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Esporte Clube de Carmo fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Esporte Clube de Carmo's Jailson Sergipano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Esporte Clube de Carmo's Erasmo Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kiko Arce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Valdemar Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Sergipano took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kiko Arce. Kiko Arce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. There was no doubt that Esporte Clube de Carmo were the better team. Esporte Clube de Carmo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
