A collision led to Esporte Clube de Carmo getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Amílton Arruda hit a great ball. Américo Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Sergipano in the 26th minute of the match. Américo Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jailson Sergipano went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 32nd match minute, EE LEMENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Quadros to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, EE LEMENSE's Valério Duarte threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Felipe Xavier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Valério Duarte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 41stth minute of the game Jailson Sergipano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EE LEMENSE's Américo Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Jailson Sergipano notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of EE LEMENSE's Américo Borges. Américo Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Sergipano made a kick off. Conrado Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Borges having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Felipe Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. EE LEMENSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betão Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Américo Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Felipe Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EE LEMENSE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esporte Clube de Carmo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
