In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umbilino SS's goalkeeper Jonathan Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diogo Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Geovanni Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Rocha in the 27th minute of play forced Chuva de Fogo's goalkeeper Geovanni Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Chuva de Fogo booed when Umbilino SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
