Tião Trancoso came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tião Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Breckenfeld in the 16th minute of the match. Severino Breckenfeld scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tião Trancoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tião Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Breckenfeld in the 21st minute of play. If Pedro Luís Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tião Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tião Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Palmitinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Toscano to maneuver through the defense. When Pedro Luís Machado came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Verdadeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Machado couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Breckenfeld in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tião Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the game, Edmílson de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verdadeiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmitinhos FC the free kick. After the first half Verdadeiros were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Severino Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Tião Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Severino Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute, Pedro Luís Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tião Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Verdadeiros's Severino Breckenfeld pulled a muscle in his leg after 71 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palmitinhos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Tião Trancoso, was totally fooled by Verdadeiros's Armandinho Corrêa, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Pedro Luís Machado came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Verdadeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Machado couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Verdadeiros's Pedro Luís Machado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tião Trancoso. Tião Trancoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 84th minute, Edmílson de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 99th minute by Alessandro Silveira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
