Spectators: 6671 (Terracing: 5005, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 9) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nando Salles started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Válbson Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Korokas and the Maricoabo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Korokas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Maricoabo:s goal. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Maricoabo. Gerson Rossi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Denílson Vidal. 0-1. Nando Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Denílson Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Korokas's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Salles came free, but Denílson Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nando Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Vidal having to interfere. Nando Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Messias in the 20th minute of play forced Korokas's goalkeeper Denílson Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Rossi hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Korokas's Flávio Cunha managed to work through Maricoabo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Flávio Cunha dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Zézinho Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Edson Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruninho Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Edson Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korokas. Gilson Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Denílson Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Cunha in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edson Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Flávio Cunha made the kick off in the second half. When Igor Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maricoabo's protests and gave Igor Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maricoabo getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Igor Veiga hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Tales Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edson Ferreira skillfully saved the ball. Edson Ferreira came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Korokas's Flávio Cunha. But to his dismay, Flávio Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 57th minute, Décio de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Edson Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edson Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Salles in the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Flávio Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Edson Ferreira. Maricoabo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Denílson Vidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilson Messias in the 78th minute. Maricoabo's Edson Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Velasco in the 80th minute of play. If Nando Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Korokas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilson Messias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Maricoabo booed when Korokas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Zézinho Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Tales Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Korokas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
