Percival Lopez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised João Carlos Carneiro 6 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Detronados's Cipriano Fantini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Carlos Carneiro. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. Roger Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. João Carlos Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percival Lopez made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 24thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but João Carlos Carneiro would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 31st play minute Cipriano Fantini came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Carlos Carneiro. 5-0. Detronados's Percival Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Percival Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Carneiro having to interfere. Sérgio Romero's late challenge caught a Oberica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Romero helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Oberica's Hélio Abreu got a free kick in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the game, Detronados's Percival Lopez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Carlos Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

In the 60th minute, Sérgio Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Fantini couldn't finish the play. Detronados walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
