With a little luck, Muricizal EC's Amadeu Mangueira got control of the ball when Júnior Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Ferreira in the 42nd minute of play forced Muricizal EC's goalkeeper Amadeu Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico Ferreira to make the kick off.
