After a defensive mix-up in Bago AD's zone, Marcos Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson Lara came out of the goal and Marcos Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute José Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Lara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcos Nogueira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 16th minute, José Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Teodoro Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bago AD's Acácio de Brito got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 29th match minute, Bago AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Mota to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilson Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Nilson Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bago AD's Nilson Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Penha in the 44th minute of play. Marcos Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Nilson Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mutante Rex FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Penha made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, Bago AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Leite to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Mutante Rex FC's Erivaldo Penha to fire away a dangerous shot which Nilson Lara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erivaldo Penha in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilson Lara saved Bago AD from getting behind. Henrique Oliveira in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vinícius do Vale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Penha in the 73rd minute of play forced Bago AD's goalkeeper Nilson Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinícius do Vale made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Benjamim Marinho sent off a good shot on target. José Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Lara having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Mutante Rex FC got a freekick which was hit by William Montenegro. When the referee ended the match the Mutante Rex FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
