In the 7th match minute, corinthias fss was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Novaes to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, corinthias fss's goal looked a bit too open when José Penha came free, but Eurico Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game José Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but corinthias fss's Eurico Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marcos Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, corinthias fss's goal looked a bit too open when José Penha came free, but Eurico Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mutante Rex FC's Erivaldo Penha in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eurico Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Gerber in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Penha in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eurico Sergipano saved corinthias fss from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Mutante Rex FC's Marcos Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eurico Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nico Alagoano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vinícius do Vale came out and tried to block the shot, but Nico Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 40th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Nico Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Vinícius do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for corinthias fss. In the 58th minute José Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Barral's late challenge caught a Mutante Rex FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Barral helped the player get up and apologised. Alex Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Mutante Rex FC booed when corinthias fss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Erivaldo Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, corinthias fss's goal looked a bit too open when José Penha came free, but Eurico Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Paulo Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Erivaldo Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If José Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius do Vale having to interfere. José Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Eurico Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to corinthias fss getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Tavares hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Nogueira in the 80th minute of play forced corinthias fss's goalkeeper Eurico Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, José Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mutante Rex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Penha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Mutante Rex FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. corinthias fss's Alex Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
