The Amigo do Lagarteichon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Carneiro should have stopped the shot. Jairo Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 15th of the match, Jairo Valadares tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Cumali Yetişbey got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Caetano Mattos fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Mazza in the 45th minute of play forced Amigo do Lagarteichon's goalkeeper Patrick Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Carneiro came out of the goal and Daniel Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Umberto Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Carneiro having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
