When Waldir de Lima fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EC ANDRADINA's protests and gave Waldir de Lima a yellow card for diving instead. Waldir de Lima hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Chicão Guimarães scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Guimarães in the 15th minute of play forced ECLESIASTES FC's goalkeeper Marcel Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ECLESIASTES FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sílvio Mazza hit a great ball. Waldir de Lima hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Marcel Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Soeiro in the 27th minute of play. When Clóvis Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the EC ANDRADINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Soeiro couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Clóvis Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. EC ANDRADINA's Davi da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ECLESIASTES FC's Edu Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcel Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Clóvis Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcel Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Soeiro in the 45th minute of play. Clóvis Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clóvis Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edu Velloso struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Hélder Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ECLESIASTES FC. After some careless play in the EC ANDRADINA defense, Edu Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Antunes. The EC ANDRADINA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Antunes should have stopped the shot. Clóvis Soeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Marcel Coelho made a huge save. Sílvio Mazza might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Antunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sílvio Mazza ran back to his position shaking his head. Clóvis Soeiro in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcel Coelho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hélder Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, EC ANDRADINA's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Velloso came free, but Hélder Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ECLESIASTES FC's Marcel Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save ECLESIASTES FC from getting a goal against them. Marcel Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Soeiro in the 87th minute. In the 92nd play minute Clóvis Soeiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcel Coelho. 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see ECLESIASTES FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
