Delfim Melo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th match minute, Malicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Osmar Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Delfim Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Irreal Madri ES ⚽ booed when Malicia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Melo's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Luís Paulo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elano Pirani might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evandro Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Dantas couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Melo in the 53rd minute of play forced Malicia's goalkeeper João Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Malicia's zone, Pedro Augusto Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Barral came out of the goal and Pedro Augusto Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delfim Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Malicia getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Benjamim Dionísio hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Osmar Mendonça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Barral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 64 played minutes Malicia got a freekick which was hit by Breno de Toledo. When Pedro Augusto Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Irreal Madri ES ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto Alagoano couldn't finish the play. If Antônio Carlos Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. João Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Malicia got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Dionísio. João Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Pedro Augusto Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Barral was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Irreal Madri ES ⚽'s Antônio Carlos Barros has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 97th minute.
