The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Engenharia Elétrica FC's Benê Barbosa got a free kick in the 15th minute. Téo Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Kauan Faria made a huge save. If Sérgio Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. Celthicos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Engenharia Elétrica FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Engenharia Elétrica FC's zone, Jeremias Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toninho Antunes came out of the goal and Jeremias Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toninho Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 67 played minutes, Engenharia Elétrica FC's Benê Barbosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kauan Faria came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Engenharia Elétrica FC reached it. Albertinho do Vale's late challenge caught a Celthicos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
