When Boacu's Jânio Corrêa in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AGF 22 de Janeiro's goalie prevented a goal. Zézinho Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Acácio Alves, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 15 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Iuri Eger was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Acácio Alves came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the AGF 22 de Janeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Alves couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, AGF 22 de Janeiro's José Maria Pontes got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of AGF 22 de Janeiro booed when Boacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Boacu's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Alves came free, but Iuri Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acácio Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdemar Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri Eger having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Boacu's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Alves came free, but Iuri Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, Mauro Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Jânio Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Boacu's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Meireles came free, but Iuri Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acácio Alves took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iuri Eger. Iuri Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Acácio Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Iuri Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Acácio Alves made a precise shot to the right of Iuri Eger. Boacu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A collision led to AGF 22 de Janeiro getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Valdemar Meireles hit a great ball. Carlos Eduardo Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Corrêa in the 74th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Boacu got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Recife. 84 minutes into the match, Boacu's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Meireles came free, but Iuri Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boacu's zone, Valdemar Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iuri Eger came out of the goal and Valdemar Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iuri Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Meireles in the 93rd minute of the match. Boacu's Iuri Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Alves in the 97th minute of play.
