An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Garcia in the 5th minute of play forced Jaraguá SC's goalkeeper Diogo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Alex da Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Jaraguá SC's Tadeu Saldanha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jailson Camargo. Jailson Camargo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Alex da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Tadeu Saldanha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Lirexus's Alex da Mata in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jaraguá SC's goalie prevented a goal. Diogo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex da Mata in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex da Mata in the 40th minute of play forced Jaraguá SC's goalkeeper Diogo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, one of Lirexus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lirexus. Jaraguá SC's Ruy Mota got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamim Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamim Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Benjamim Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeu Saldanha to make the kick off. Ruy Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jailson Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jailson Camargo came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaraguá SC's Tadeu Saldanha. But to his dismay, Tadeu Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 67 minutes into the match, Guga Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo Lima. Jaraguá SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guga Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Guga Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lirexus's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tadeu Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lirexus getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Wiliam Novaes hit a great ball. Alex da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Diogo Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match, Alex da Mata tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diogo Lima saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
