Diogo de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Neves in the 26th minute of the match. When Samuca Neves came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Jitirana EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Neves couldn't finish the play. Marcus das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Jitirana EC's Robinho Meira tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jitirana EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Jitirana EC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Evaristo Ramos hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuca Neves was the one to do the kick off. If Ronaldinho Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Jitirana EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel de Almeida fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 76th minute, Samuca Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Samuca Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jitirana EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jitirana EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Claudinei Fontes scored to the left of an out of position Manoel Leal, making the score, 0-1. With a little luck, Jitirana EC's Manoel Leal got control of the ball when Manuel de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Hortêncio Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jitirana EC's protests and gave Hortêncio Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Hortêncio Sousa hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ronaldinho Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The corner led Jitirana EC's Robinho Meira to fire away a dangerous shot which Diogo de Sousa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cacutu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
