The supporters of Shakazulu F.C booed when Goiaberira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válbson de Medeiros hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Serginho Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Proença in the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Shakazulu F.C defense, Afonso Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serginho Figueiredo. The Shakazulu F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serginho Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Shakazulu F.C's goalkeeper Serginho Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diguinho Valladares. César Melo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serginho Figueiredo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Serginho Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Proença in the 19th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Zonta's late challenge caught a Goiaberira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Augusto Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. Serginho Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Afonso Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Serginho Figueiredo made a huge save. Guto Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Castro in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Aníbal Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Shakazulu F.C's goalkeeper Serginho Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Damião. If Nando Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aníbal Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aníbal Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jano Proença kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serginho Figueiredo. That made the score 2-0 in the 45 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nando Castro to make the kick off. Guto Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Jano Proença notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Shakazulu F.C's Serginho Figueiredo. Serginho Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aníbal Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guto Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Damião in the 72nd minute of play forced Shakazulu F.C's goalkeeper Serginho Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Valladares in the 91st minute of play forced Shakazulu F.C's goalkeeper Serginho Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válbson de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 minutes of play, Goiaberira FC's Diguinho Valladares made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Goiaberira FC had played much better football throughout.
