Eduardo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Custódio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Claudinho Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Valladares in the 22nd minute of the match. Claudinho Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deivid Valladares in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Deivid Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Armando Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Santa Rosa FC's Claudinho Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Nova Santa Rosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Santos came free, but Claudinho Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Valladares in the 33rd minute of the match. Armando Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Velloso having to interfere. A collision led to SANTACRUZENSE getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Augusto Custódio hit a great ball. Deivid Valladares might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deivid Valladares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 50th minute, Armando Santos made a precise shot to the right of Claudinho Velloso. Nova Santa Rosa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half SANTACRUZENSE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Alagoano to make the kick off. Claudinho Velloso was a little too slow when Armando Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 62nd minute Eduardo Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Lino Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Santa Rosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dieguinho Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th match minute, SANTACRUZENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Custódio to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes SANTACRUZENSE got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Aguiar. In the 69th minute, Lino Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Santa Rosa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Deivid Valladares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Velloso having to make a save. 74 minutes into the match, SANTACRUZENSE's Armando Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinho Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Eduardo Alagoano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. João Francisco Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Nova Santa Rosa FC's Benjamin Monteiro in action when he in the 92nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Nova Santa Rosa FC booed when SANTACRUZENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
