The coaching staff of Uruguaiana protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arí Tavares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tony Britto's late challenge caught a Uruguaiana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
