An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Cardoso in the 15th minute of play forced Digão SC's goalkeeper Frédson Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes of play, KuPs KuoPio's Hudson Cardoso made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frédson Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Digão SC's Frédson Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony de Godoi in the 23rd minute of play. KuPs KuoPio's Jonathan Mangueira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fred Melo, made in the 25th minute of the game. Tony de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Frédson Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KuPs KuoPio. The Digão SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frédson Velasco should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Jonathan Mangueira made a precise shot to the right of Frédson Velasco. Digão SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Tony de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Frédson Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony de Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Frédson Velasco was a little too slow when Jonathan Mangueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-5. After a rather tough play, Digão SC's Aloísio Severo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Frédson Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony de Godoi in the 58th minute. A collision led to KuPs KuoPio getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Tavares hit a great ball. Zumar Granja kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, KuPs KuoPio's Hudson Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Frédson Velasco. Frédson Velasco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Frédson Velasco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tony de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Frédson Velasco made a huge save. Frédson Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Tony de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Frédson Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match, Tony de Godoi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frédson Velasco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 84 minutes into the match, Digão SC's goalkeeper Frédson Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvinho Mazza. Jonathan Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
