Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jarbas de Queiroz took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Cass FC's Mazinho Faria got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, João Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Águia Branca FC's Deivid Carvalho got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of Cass FC booed when Águia Branca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Damião was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Cass FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo Sabóia. In the 14th minute, Jarbas de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute Júlio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, João Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águia Branca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Junior Pernambucano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Águia Branca FC the free kick. Sílvio Luís Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas de Queiroz in the 29th minute of the match. Jarbas de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, João Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Paulo Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cass FC booed when Águia Branca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roger Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47thth minute of the game Roger Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Águia Branca FC's José Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Águia Branca FC's Jarbas de Queiroz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Luís Ribeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 62 minutes, Júlio Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cass FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Jarbas de Queiroz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sílvio Luís Ribeiro. 78 minutes into the game, Águia Branca FC's Zé Paulo Sabóia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Luís Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. João Vítor Ceresso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Luís Ribeiro. Cass FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sílvio Luís Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Águia Branca FC's Jarbas de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Jarbas de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Zé Paulo Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Águia Branca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Zé Paulo Sabóia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águia Branca FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Jarbas de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Ribeiro having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Águia Branca FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
