Spectators: 7256 (Terracing: 5443, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dagoberto Quintal got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Costas's Thomás Travassos got a free kick in the 4th minute. Dagoberto Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Costas booed when Iguai FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered loudly when Frank Abraão's long shot in the 17th minute became 1-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Jailson de Sena. Dagoberto Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Jailson de Sena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Frank Abraão hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Costas's Paulinho Junior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Passos in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Massa in the 29th minute of play forced Costas's goalkeeper Paulinho Junior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Costas's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Passos came free, but Paulinho Junior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iguai FC's Jailson de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Iguai FC from getting a goal against them. David Rosado struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jailson de Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costas. Dagoberto Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jailson de Sena made a huge save. Luizão Passos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The long shot by Enéas de Salles in the 36th minute really tested Jailson de Sena's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clóvis Massa made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Quintal in the 52nd minute of play forced Iguai FC's goalkeeper Jailson de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcos Messias came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Costas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Messias couldn't finish the play. Paulinho Junior came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Iguai FC's Adalberto Fantini. But to his dismay, Adalberto Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Clóvis Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Marcos Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Costas got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Sabóia. Christian Santana, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Costas getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rui de Amorim hit a great ball. Dagoberto Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jailson de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costas's Dagoberto Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Dagoberto Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costas's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jailson de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Iguai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Quintal came free, but Jailson de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Costas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
