Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dagoberto Quintal started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Ricardinho Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marmelada SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardinho Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulinho Junior breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Quintal in the 5th minute of play forced Marmelada SC's goalkeeper Arí Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Costas's Régis Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arí Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Marmelada SC's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas de Salles came free, but Arí Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luís Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Costas booed when Marmelada SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Junior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Figueiredo in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Marmelada SC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Manuel de Queirós hit a great ball. Jeferson Berger was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Marmelada SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Costas:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Hoffmann got free with Paulinho Junior in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Tarcisio Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarcisio Hoffmann hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Rui de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Natã Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marmelada SC's Arí Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Quintal in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Marmelada SC's Tarcisio Hoffmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulinho Junior made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 47th minute, Régis Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

60 minutes into the match, Costas's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Hoffmann came free, but Paulinho Junior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Enéas de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enéas de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tarcisio Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Marmelada SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcisio Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. Paulinho Junior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcisio Hoffmann in the 68th minute of the match. If Tarcisio Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Costas's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Hoffmann came free, but Paulinho Junior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho Junior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Tarcisio Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulinho Junior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Marmelada SC's Leandro de Lara made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulinho Junior was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Quintal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arí Simões. Dagoberto Quintal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Paulinho Junior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Hoffmann in the 94th minute of play. Tarcisio Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Junior having to interfere. Costas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
