The wind increased when Fernandão Jacinto made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, one of PALESTRA ITÁLIA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Gandalf Fehér, was totally fooled by Fortaleza's Ulisses Neiva, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Fortaleza's Giuseppe Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Amaral in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, PALESTRA ITÁLIA's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandão Jacinto came free, but Gandalf Fehér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Egídio Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chants of Fortaleza echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as PALESTRA ITÁLIA had held the ball for most of the match.
