Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Velasco in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Acácio Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Malaquias SS lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
