After 4 minutes of play, Triumfo SS's Bernardinho Maranhense made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manfredo Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 10 minutes, Cristian Reis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Triumfo SS's João Francisco Chaves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Amílton Gerber sped through Jurumirim SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manfredo Tasso. Bernardinho Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Tasso having to interfere. Jurumirim SC's Manfredo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Gerber in the 20th minute of play. Manfredo Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amílton Gerber's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Cristian Reis took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Francisco Chaves. João Francisco Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Manfredo Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Maranhense in the 27th minute of the match. Cristian Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. João Francisco Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Triumfo SS's zone, Renan Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Chaves came out of the goal and Renan Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardinho Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Renan Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Tasso having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renan Abraão to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Renan Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Abraão in the 55th minute of play forced Triumfo SS's goalkeeper João Francisco Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amílton Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Fábio Alagoano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jurumirim SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Triumfo SS the free kick. After 58 played minutes Jurumirim SC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Alagoano. In the 60th minute, Bernardinho Maranhense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Triumfo SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The supporters of Triumfo SS booed when Jurumirim SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardinho Maranhenses short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Manfredo Tasso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Manfredo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Gerber in the 79th minute of play. If Amílton Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Maranhense scored 2-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfredo Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute Cristian Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Triumfo SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jurumirim SC.
