Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maurício Cardozo started the match with the kick off. Jano Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Valadares in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Adelino Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Humberto Valadares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jano Esteves. Iaciara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Valadares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mário Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Rezende in the 12th minute of play. Maurício Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Rezende in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Maurício Cardozo made a precise shot to the right of Mário Vieira. Passaros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 28th minute Maurício Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mário Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Richard Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes Passaros got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Secco. In the 43rd minute, Richard Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 played minutes Iaciara got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Mendes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Adelino Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Passaros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Zanette couldn't finish the play. Sílvio Mendes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Adelino Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes of play, Passaros's Adelino Zanette made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jano Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Passaros's goalkeeper Mário Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adelino Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jano Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Vieira made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Maurício Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Iaciara's Richard Rezende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mário Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maurício Cardozo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mário Vieira. Mário Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2.
