This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jano Esteves as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Luizão Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Vodka Diamond fans jumped to their feet. Jano Esteves was a little too slow when Marcel Berger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. Germano Moraes scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Furlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruy Peixoto was the one to do the kick off.
