The attack was good, but when Caetano Duarte in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Danilo Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chico Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, RIO FUT 7 FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Guedes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Luís Guedes got free with Pedro Luís Paranaense in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. RIO FUT 7 FC's Pedro Luís Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save RIO FUT 7 FC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
